The friend of the father of the beaten boy was also beaten.
Yesterday was the day of the mid-term exam for the first grade of Jinzhou District No. 108 Middle School, but 16-year-old first-grade student Junjun (a pseudonym) was absent. His head was still aching, and what worried his father more was that the child was depressed and felt fear when he thought about the scene the night before. At around 21:30 on the 12th, Junjun was injured by a group of unfamiliar young people near the school gate.
Encountering unexpected visitors after evening self-study
Junjun, 16 years old, lives in Jinzhou District. This autumn, he became a freshman at No. 108 Middle School. Every evening, Junjun had evening self-study at school and returned home at 9:25 p.m. The previous evening, at about 9:30, Junjun walked out of the school gate as usual after finishing his self-study.
When he had just walked out of the school gate about ten meters away and arrived at the small alley between two rows of houses, several strangers suddenly appeared from the opposite direction. "Three young men, all about 20 years old, I didn't know them. After asking if my name was XX, they grabbed me," said Junjun. Stunned by the scene in front of him, Junjun tried to break free, but the three young men tightly held onto him, walking forward while saying to Junjun, "Come with us to the car, we have something to say."
Seeing the situation wasn't good, Junjun tried harder to break free. "I dare not get into their car; if I do, it will be bad." Junjun's mind was set on breaking free from them, thinking "No matter what, I can't let them take me onto the car," but all his attempts were in vain.
Beaten by seven or eight young men
Junjun's resistance clearly angered the three young men. While continuing to hold Junjun, they loudly called out others, and soon a few more young men of similar age joined them. Realizing they couldn't force Junjun into the car, they started beating him.
"I didn't dare to resist. I could only protect my head with my hands and shield my face," said Junjun. Instinctively crouching on the ground, the punches and kicks began raining down on Junjun's head, abdomen, and limbs, eventually knocking him to the ground.
"When I saw something was wrong, I tried to stop them, but instead, they beat me too." Before the incident, Mr. Bi, a good friend of Junjun's father, was driving with his wife to pick up their son who also attended the same school. When he noticed Junjun being pulled aside by several young men, he realized something was amiss. However, before he could react, they had already knocked Junjun to the ground. He shouted loudly for his own son to hide in the car while rushing forward to stop the group of young men. Not only did they not stop, but they also attacked Mr. Bi. After a barrage of punches and kicks, Mr. Bi felt dizzy. When he came to, Junjun was already lying in a puddle, with blood on his nose and face. The seven or eight young men who had beaten him had already left. Junjun vaguely remembered them saying "You'd better be careful from now on" before leaving.
It was raining at the time. Junjun's schoolbag strap had been torn, and his glasses and watch were nowhere to be found. Mr. Bi borrowed a flashlight from nearby residents and searched around the scene, only finding Junjun's glasses. The Casio watch worth over 2,000 yuan had disappeared without a trace.
The police have launched an investigation
Junjun's father quickly learned about the incident and took Junjun and Mr. Bi to the hospital for a check-up that night. The results showed that Mr. Bi had a hematoma near his left eyelid and temple, while Junjun had multiple soft tissue contusions. The doctor's diagnosis noted a "3cm x 3cm hematoma on Junjun's head." Fortunately, Junjun was fine.
That night, Junjun's father reported the incident to Yongzheng Police Station with Junjun and Mr. Bi. Currently, the police are investigating the matter. According to Junjun's recollection, the three young men who initially grabbed him were between 1.7m and 1.8m tall, all around 20 years old, and spoke with a Dalian accent. According to Mr. Bi's recollection, during the subsequent beating, one of the young men was "very muscular." Reporter Hou Tie
