The Little Dog on the Bus
In recent days, the high temperature has continued without abating. As people sweat it out in the "sauna weather," it seems that animals are also protesting. Yesterday, a dog holding an iced water bottle staged an amusing scene on the bus: "If you don't give me ice water, I'll bark."
At around 11 a.m. on July 30, during the journey of bus No. 38, the sweltering compartment suddenly filled with "woof woof" animal sounds. Following the sound, I saw a little brown Pomeranian that seemed unable to bear the heat. It poked its little head out from its owner's handbag, its pink tongue hanging out as it panted heavily, and then began barking incessantly, seemingly protesting against the sultry "sauna weather." Perhaps due to the noisy crowd inside the bus, the driver never noticed there was a little dog on board.
Unable to see her beloved pet suffer in the heat, the dog's owner quickly took it out of the bag to cool down. She poured some chilled mineral water into her palm and offered it to the dog. The little Pomeranian immediately plunged its head into the owner's hand, enjoying the coolness.
However, due to the high temperature inside the bus, the Pomeranian started whining again after just a short while, drawing the attention of all passengers once more. With no other choice, the owner simply placed the chilled mineral water bottle directly in the dog's arms. The cool bottle finally calmed the "overheated" puppy down...
But as soon as the owner took away the chilled mineral water, the dog started barking uncontrollably, completely ignoring the exasperated gazes of the passengers, until the owner once again placed the chilled water bottle under its belly. This time, the dog eagerly hugged the chilled mineral water bottle tightly, refusing to let go. It even extended its tongue to lick the bottle occasionally, looking incredibly adorable. The Pomeranian's owner helplessly said, "It's really too hot. Not only can humans not endure it, but animals can't either. So I have no choice but to quickly cool down my dog!"
Nevertheless, among the passengers, there were differing opinions: "Buses are public transportation, and pets have always been prohibited from boarding. Although this dog is small, we don't know if it carries bacteria. Sometimes when drivers don't see the pets being brought on board, passengers need to be more self-disciplined."
