According to a fellow roommate in the Department of General Surgery at Fengjie County People's Hospital, an injured person from the explosion was admitted to bed 44 in the department.
The roommate mentioned that the injured person in bed 44 is a senior citizen around 60 years old, who is one of the injured from the explosion.
This roommate recounted that relatives of the injured elderly person informed them that during the incident, the elder went to the Jiusu Village Committee to pay cooperative medical fees and was injured by the sudden explosion.
Relatives of the injured also indicated that the explosion was triggered by a man seeking revenge due to emotional issues against another man at the village committee. It is reported that during the incident, the man who carried out the explosion died on the spot, while the targeted man is in critical condition at Fengjie County People's Hospital. Two other villagers and the women's director of Jiusu Village were also injured in the blast.
Informed netizen cqhxk911 posted on the forum: "The perpetrator was a coal mine worker who stole explosives from the mine."
It is reported that apart from one victim being transferred to Chongqing for treatment, two other victims are receiving treatment in beds 44 and 48 of the Department of General Surgery at Fengjie County People's Hospital. However, both the victims and their relatives refused to provide further details about the situation.
