Our reporter Peng Yang writes: "Thanks to the careful ticket seller, the child was finally found!" Yesterday, 5-year-old Tingting got separated from her family at the Beigongmen Station of the Summer Palace. Two hours after reporting it to the police, Tingting was finally reunited with her family at the terminal station of bus No. 330.
Yesterday at 5:10 PM, two hours after getting lost, Tingting finally returned to her parents. Tingting's mother, Ms. Wang, said that they live near Anhe Bridge. Yesterday, Ms. Wang and her family of four visited the Summer Palace and were preparing to take a bus home at the Beigongmen Station. "In the time it took me to get some loose change, I looked up and the child was gone." Ms. Wang suspected that Tingting had boarded the bus that had just arrived at the station, but the bus had already left, so she could only report it to the police for help.
More than half an hour later, Ms. Wang received a call from the police station saying that Tingting was on bus No. 330 and was safe, "Only then did I feel relieved." After more than an hour of waiting, when Ms. Wang saw Tingting rush into her arms unharmed, tears streamed down her face.
Ticket seller Zhu Xiuying of bus No. 330 said that after the bus stopped at Beigongmen, she saw a girl around five years old follow a woman holding a child onto the bus. After all passengers were seated, the little girl started crying, and no one claimed her. After asking, Zhu Xiuying learned that the girl had gotten separated from her mother, so she immediately reported it to the police and notified the fleet dispatch office. Tingting followed this bus to the terminal station and then back to Beigongmen before finally reuniting with her family.
