Edwin has already traveled on 59 different types of vehicles.

"I'm now 82 years old, but I still feel young. If more elderly people tried something new and different, I think that would be amazing," said Edwin.

According to a report by The Sun in the UK on the 20th, most people's daily transportation is limited to buses, cars, motorcycles, bicycles, trains or planes. However, Edwin Shukton, an 82-year-old former Royal Air Force veteran from Filton, Bristol, plans to set a new world record this year - he intends to travel using 100 different types of vehicles within one year! So far, Edwin has traveled on 59 different types of vehicles, including not only regular vehicles like cars, airplanes, trains, and ships, but also unconventional ones such as hydrofoil boats, rickshaws, fire trucks, caravans, trucks, police cars, hot air balloons, and sleds.

Edwin started this "traveling with 100 different vehicles" challenge on January 1st. He is confident that he can achieve his goal by the end of 2009. Edwin said: "At first, the vehicles I traveled on included my son's motorcycle. But as time went by, the vehicles I've traveled on have become increasingly bizarre. Who knows what other strange vehicles I'll use to travel in the future!" (Zong He)

"Sea, Land, and Air" all kinds

Edwin's modes of transportation always revolve around three main categories: flying in the sky, running on land, and sailing on water. The aircraft he has traveled on include light planes, hot air balloons, gliders, helicopters, and homemade planes. The watercraft he has traveled on includes ferries, canal boats, hand-pedal boats, catamarans, hydrofoil boats, inflatable boats, high-speed yachts, and hovercrafts. However, the most dazzling are the land vehicles he has traveled on. Among them, train types include diesel-powered trains, high-speed trains, steam trains, mini-steam trains, subways, traction locomotives, and electric trains. The road vehicles he has traveled on are varied, including cars, double-decker buses, covered trucks, trucks, electric trailers, luxury cars, long-distance buses, police cars, trams, hovercars, caravans, fire trucks, three-wheeled trucks, and amphibious vehicles, etc. (Zong He)
