At 8 pm on February 11, a traffic accident occurred on the Longping Big Bend section of the Xingjie to Xichou highway in Xichou County, Wenshan Prefecture. A Honda car plunged down a hundred-meter-high cliff, resulting in the death of three passengers and serious injuries to two others. Due to the steepness of the accident site, rescue operations continued until the afternoon of February 12.

According to eyewitnesses, the location where the car fell was undergoing secondary road repairs, with the project nearing completion and about to reopen to traffic. The vehicle that went over the cliff was a Honda sedan. Local villagers mentioned that this section of the road frequently sees traffic accidents. This particular incident happened at around 8 pm on February 11. At that time, the road construction workers had just finished their work for the day when they suddenly heard a loud noise. Rushing out of their barracks to check, they saw the car already off the cliff, with two people thrown outside the vehicle. The workers quickly called for help. Soon after, the traffic police, public security officers, and fire department arrived at the scene to carry out rescue operations. They rushed one male and one female victim who were thrown out of the car to the Xichou County People's Hospital. However, the three individuals who remained inside the car succumbed to their severe injuries.

Yesterday at noon, an operator from the Xichou County 120 Emergency Center introduced that the injured woman was named Luo Zemei (phonetic), and the man surnamed Zeng. Both were seriously injured and have been transferred to the Wenshan Prefecture Hospital for treatment.
