Swimming Pool Equipment: In a few years, the green Beijing in the eyes of citizens may be integrated with global wisdom. The Beijing Planning Commission has issued a call for submissions globally for the "Beijing Green Building Design Standard," inviting institutions at home and abroad with achievements in green building design, research results in green building technology, or experience in compiling green building standards to participate.
A relevant official from the Beijing Planning Commission stated that this tender is the first time the city has invited foreign institutions to participate in the compilation of local standards. It will combine international advanced concepts and standards with Beijing's local characteristics, meeting the requirements of high standards, comprehensiveness, and suitability.
The outline of the standard is planned to be completed by the end of June 2011, with the official release of the green building design standard scheduled for the end of December.
According to reports, the submission process began on April 19th, with a duration of approximately 30 days. The submission activity sets one first prize worth 150,000 RMB, two second prizes each worth 80,000 RMB, and three third prizes each worth 50,000 RMB. Winning submission units will be selected as contributing units for the "Beijing Green Building Design Standard," and their chief consultants will be selected to join the editorial committee.
The reporter also learned from the Beijing Planning Commission that this year, comprehensive research on green building planning and design will be carried out. The "Beijing Green Building Design Standard" will be compiled, and the "Beijing Residential Building Energy Efficiency Design Standard" will be revised. A low-carbon ecological city planning index system, a green building certification and evaluation system, and a perfect building energy efficiency design quality supervision system will be established. The green building criteria in Chongqing will be issued in September and enforced thereafter. Currently, pilot research work has been conducted on the overall ecological city planning of Yanqing County and the Changxindian Ecological City in Fengtai District. Meanwhile, according to the soon-to-be-revised "Beijing Residential Building Energy Efficiency Design Standard," the heating energy consumption per unit building area in the city will achieve 75% energy savings, striving to reach the highest level of countries at the same latitude.
