The incident occurred at the section of the Liangma River south of Beijing City Tower in Chaoyang District. At around 1 PM yesterday afternoon, when the reporter arrived at the scene, the drowning woman had already been rescued. According to eyewitnesses, the police and emergency personnel had just completed the rescue and left the scene. "The girl is in her early 20s, wearing a red top and checkered pants, completely soaked. The emergency personnel carried her on a stretcher and took her away in an ambulance."
According to Mr. Zhang, an eyewitness, the incident happened at around 12 noon, "I was walking by the river when I suddenly heard a splash.
