NEGiES Simplified Chinese Edition - Free Green Traffic Management Software

Night Fire: I saw eric4ever post on CB about a free green traffic management software —— NEGiES Simplified Chinese version, which reminded me of the bandwidth scheduler AppBand V1.0.6 I posted earlier —— to limit the bandwidth used by programs. Now we have both the software to limit program bandwidth and the software to limit program traffic.

NEGiES is a small (less than 300 KB compressed package), free, and green but powerful network traffic monitoring and management software. It can separately limit the traffic of each application and dynamically measure the upload/download speed, time, and data volume in real-time. With simple settings, NEGiES can conveniently manage network traffic. Compared to other network traffic monitoring software, its small size, free, and green characteristics stand out more prominently. Unfortunately, all the downloaded versions were in Traditional Chinese, which could not display correctly on a Simplified Chinese system. After much effort, I finally got in touch with rexx @ PTT who localized NEGiES into Traditional Chinese. With rexx's enthusiastic help, we finally completed this Simplified Chinese version of NEGiES.

After running the NEGiES program, make settings as described in the figure below. First, you need to "create" a filter. You can directly click the "New" button on the toolbar or select "Filter" -> "New" from the menu. In the pop-up "Filter Edit" dialog box, follow the steps in the figure to make the corresponding settings.

Once the creation and settings of the filter are completed, you can start controlling the traffic (click the "Start Filtering" button, and click again to stop filtering). If you want to temporarily stop filtering, right-click the filter row and choose "Enable/Disable", or click the corresponding icon on the toolbar (Note: The last "Enable/Disable" button on the toolbar cannot be fully displayed; hovering your mouse over the button will show a tool tip).
