At 7:30 AM yesterday morning, a traffic accident occurred on Xinan Road in Binhu District of Wuxi. The hit-and-run driver collided with two electric vehicles and quickly fled the scene. The accident caused one person to suffer from brain bleeding and another to sustain fractures. Coincidentally, a热心citizen recorded the escape process of the hit-and-run driver with a camera and exposed it on an online forum, calling on netizens to conduct a "human flesh search". According to the reporter's understanding yesterday afternoon, the hit-and-run driver, Mr. Yin, accompanied by his company leader, surrendered to the Wuxi Binhu Traffic Police Brigade.

Netizens uploaded pictures of the entire hit-and-run process.

At 8:52 AM yesterday, a post titled "Hit-and-Run! Pursue Su B28023" on the Wuxi Erquan Network Forum attracted many netizens' attention and condemnation. The poster "Sky Balloon" stated that around 7:30 AM that day, a traffic accident occurred near the north gate of the Wuxi Sports Center, and the driver fled after the accident, hoping relevant departments would make every effort to investigate. Subsequently, "Sky Balloon" posted nine photos of the hit-and-run process online.

The reporter found that in this set of photos, only the first photo showed the image of the hit-and-run vehicle and driver. The hit-and-run vehicle was a black and gray business car, parked against the direction of traffic on the road. The driver was wearing a blue top and standing next to the driver's seat. At the rear of the business car, an injured person lay motionless on the ground, and there were only five onlookers at the scene.

"The driver thought he had killed someone and drove away."

At noon yesterday, when the reporter arrived at the scene of the incident, the site had already been cleaned up. There were two obvious brake marks on the ground, along with some bloodstains. Nearby eyewitnesses told the reporter that the owners of the two electric bikes were both taking their children to school. Unexpectedly, they encountered a disaster right at the school gate. Fortunately, neither of the two children were injured. The parents of the two children were injured and sent to the hospital for treatment, with one lady being more seriously injured.

The reporter then went to Wuxi Fourth Hospital to inquire about the situation. Ms. Ma was still in a state of unconsciousness. The attending doctor informed the reporter that Ms. Ma was diagnosed with intracranial hematoma and is currently undergoing conservative treatment. If her condition worsens, emergency surgery will be required. The reporter observed that Ms. Ma's right ear canal was still bleeding, and she looked distressed. The other injured person in the accident, Mr. Dai, was diagnosed with a left arm joint fracture. Recalling the incident, Mr. Dai still felt great fear. "My daughter and Ms. Ma's son are classmates. We were sending the kids to school together in the morning. Ms. Ma's electric bike was about 10 meters ahead of me. The business car first hit Ms. Ma's electric bike, and possibly due to the slippery road from the rain, the car made a 360-degree turn after emergency braking, and the tail swung and hit me."

"At that time, that woman was already unconscious, with blood all over the ground, lying under the car. The driver took a look, probably scared, thinking he had hit someone to death, and then drove away!" During the interview, Mr. Dai emphasized repeatedly that after realizing the severity of the incident, the hit-and-run driver did not report the accident or take any rescue measures but instead fled the scene. Additionally, Mr. Dai indicated that at the time of the incident, both he and Ms. Ma were riding normally within the non-motorized vehicle lane.

Under pressure, the hit-and-run driver surrendered.

Yesterday, the reporter reported the situation to the Wuxi Binhu District Traffic Police Brigade. An official investigated and informed the reporter that the vehicle belonged to a certain enterprise in Wuxi. The police had already contacted the enterprise's responsible person, and the enterprise side would handle the matter. At 5:30 PM yesterday afternoon, as the reporter was finalizing the article, the latest news was obtained. Accompanied by his company leader, the hit-and-run driver Mr. Yin surrendered to the Wuxi Binhu Traffic Police Brigade. According to Mr. Yin's confession, after the accident, he indeed got out of the car but only said sorry to the injured person before leaving. Currently, the case is under further review. This newspaper will continue to follow the developments.
