The Super Pickle Part II: Pickle and the Butterfly
Pickle felt that the butterflies at his school lived every day among the flowers, unlike his family who were immersed in black soy sauce every day. Therefore, he envied the butterfly very much.
One day, while Pickle was walking alone on campus with his head down, the butterfly and her classmates walked towards him. After they passed each other, the butterfly fanned her nose with a handkerchief and said disdainfully: "Country bumpkin, you smell sour." Unfortunately, Pickle heard this and felt very uncomfortable. He secretly vowed: "In the future, I, Pickle, must study hard and learn more skills so that you, butterfly, will know that I am no ordinary person."
The butterfly loved to show off, so the spiders wanted to play a trick on her. They deliberately wove a web on the road she had to take to school. On her way home from school, the butterfly ran straight into the web and struggled helplessly as the spiders watched from the side. It just so happened that Pickle was passing by. Seeing the pitiful state of the butterfly, he wanted to save her but then remembered her disdainful attitude and thought she deserved it.
After becoming a superhero who could fly in the sky, swim in the deep sea, scale walls, see in the dark, and speak many foreign languages, Pickle confidently prepared to meet Rose. Before going, in order to get rid of his suspiciously soy-sauce-colored skin, he soaked himself in vinegar for a night, making his skin a little whiter. Then he sprinkled perfume on himself and wore a cloak made of white clouds, looking like a great swordsman. He originally planned to ignore her and leave directly, but seeing the gleeful look of the spiders, he felt a pang of sympathy. In the end, he softened his heart, went up, and pulled her down before turning around and leaving.
When the butterfly realized that the one who saved her was Pickle, whom she used to look down upon the most, she regretted it deeply and decided that she would never judge people by their appearance again.
The spiders were delighted by the scene until they realized that Pickle had disrupted their plan. They chased after Pickle and beat him up. Pickle was very angry and decided to go home and discuss with his mother, Mapo Cake, about learning martial arts at Shaolin Temple.
