Super Pickled Vegetable IV: The Pickled Vegetable Becomes a Monk

Ever since they beat up the pickled vegetable that time, the spiders have been keeping an eye on him. Every now and then, they make the pickled vegetable bring them tasty treats from home. If he doesn't bring anything, they intercept him on his way to school and beat him up. Afraid that his mother, Mapo Bing, will worry about him, he doesn't tell her. Instead, he secretly takes food from home and gives it to the spiders while also starting to practice martial arts in secret.

Since the spiders bully him, the ants see the spiders benefiting and start threatening the pickled vegetable too, demanding their share of benefits. Enraged, the usually non-violent pickled vegetable lashes out one day, venting all his pent-up anger against the spiders onto the ants, breaking the ant's leg.

Realizing he has caused a serious problem, the pickled vegetable decides not to go to school or return home. He heads straight for Shaolin Temple, feeling that he must learn skills no matter what; this is no longer about being successful or not.

When the pickled vegetable arrives at Shaolin Temple and knocks on the temple door, a young monk comes out, bows, and asks, "Which temple do you come from, Master?" This question confuses the pickled vegetable. He touches his bald head and says, "I come from school, I want to become a monk. I haven't been to any temple." "Then why are you bald?" "Oh, I was born this way," replies the pickled vegetable. The young monk understands, saying, "This is something Buddha has arranged long ago," and leads the pickled vegetable inside.

Upon seeing him, the master also says, "You don't need to shave your head, it's quite convenient. And with all these lumps, you're perfect for practicing Iron Head technique," and accepts the pickled vegetable.

The pickled vegetable practices very hard. Since practicing the Iron Head technique, he no longer sees his head as a head but rather as a ball or like a spider's head, colliding forcefully. As a result, several trees in Shaolin Temple have been broken by him.

One day, someone's cow runs to the front of Shaolin Temple and eats all the green vegetables planted there. Seeing this, the pickled vegetable becomes angry and charges towards the cow. Surprisingly, the cow does not back down and charges back at him. They lock horns, going back and forth for several rounds. Suddenly, the pickled vegetable exerts all his strength and thrusts the cow onto a tree branch. Sitting on the branch, the cow moo-moo cries, "Master Pickled Vegetable, please let me down! I will never steal vegetables from Shaolin Temple again."

Seeing that the pickled vegetable has perfected the Iron Head technique, the master tells him, "Pickled Vegetable, you have completed your training, you can go home now." So, the pickled vegetable returns home.

Upon returning home, the pickled vegetable finds the family even poorer, and his mother, Mapo Bing, much older. It turns out that after he left, the ants came to claim compensation, and Mapo Bing gave away all the family's property.

Heartbroken for his mother, the pickled vegetable works hard to earn money, gradually improving the family's situation. Because of his abilities, no one dares to bully him anymore. In fact, people often seek his help. Hearing that the pickled vegetable has learned great skills, the spiders fear retaliation and specially invite him for a drink, insisting on befriending him. Seeing her son become a capable person, Mapo Bing is very happy.
