Pickled Vegetable Superman Part Five: Pickled Vegetables and the Rose
One day, a few friends invited Pickled Vegetables to visit the nursery. In the nursery, Pickled Vegetables saw a flower - an exceptionally beautiful one. Its petals were like velvet, perfectly expressing the delicacy and perfection of life. Its color was bright yet dignified, as if it had accumulated energy for several lifetimes before modestly displaying itself. The flower was half-open, half-closed, elegant and reserved, graceful and dignified, all in this state of being about to bloom but not yet fully bloomed.
This was truly a marvel that had fallen from the heavens. Pickled Vegetables was stunned, staring at the flower, he became foolish, unaware of what year or month it was, who he was, or where he stood. At that moment, in his eyes, the world only had that flower left. If I could live with this flower and see her every day, even if I die, I would be willing, thought Pickled Vegetables. He asked the foxtail grass beside him the name of the flower. Foxtail grass told him that the flower was called Rose, Destiny. And so, Pickled Vegetables remembered it deeply.
From then on, he began to learn everything about roses. One day, when someone told him that roses came from noble origins and had romantic personalities, his heart ached. He knew that he was poor and had no connection to romance or nobility. Although he had gained some abilities now, those things couldn't change his identity. For the rose, he could only look up longingly. Every time he thought about this, he hated his parents very much and also hated heaven, hating them for making him a pickled vegetable, allowing him to meet the rose in "Selected Short Stories of Hometown Literature."
Fate, you are truly too heartless, Pickled Vegetables shouted in his heart, yet he was so unwilling. Since he met the rose, he walked a long way to the nursery every day, secretly hiding outside the wall to watch the rose. Each time he looked at the rose, he felt full of hope but also full of inferiority. He wanted to express his love to the rose but lacked the courage. He feared rejection and being hurt, but if he didn't express himself, he was unwilling. After suffering in pain for a long time, he came up with a plan - to send the butterfly. This way, even if rejected, he wouldn't lose face. The butterfly went, and he waited anxiously for a reply. After waiting for a long time, the butterfly finally returned with a message saying that the rose had said: To be with her, Pickled Vegetables must become a superman.
The butterfly sighed while speaking, but Pickled Vegetables was filled with joy. He saw hope. For the rose, he decided to start from now, aiming to become a superman until he turned into one and married the rose.
People say the power of love is strong, but actually, the power of beauty is the strongest. Women spare no expense for beauty, and men for beautiful women often do the same. Just look at Pickled Vegetables.
