House of the Dead 2: Appears as a boss on par with Emperor (the ultimate boss of House of the Dead 2)
Boss Description:
Model: 0
Name: Magician (The Magician)
Description: An armored devil, human-sized, with many tube-like growths on its body
Weakness: Its cracked left eye and unarmored parts of its body
Strategy:
The Magician's power has greatly diminished compared to before, with less health and weaker attacks, making it easier to defeat. It still has three phases of attack.
First Phase: Same as before.
Second Phase:
Slightly changed, previously it would charge straight at you, now it charges from the side, so this time you should fix your gun slightly below the edge of the screen and continuously fire, because when the Magician charges diagonally, your bullets will hit its weak spot on its thigh at some point. If you miss, it's already too close, but quickly switching to close-range defense is fine, anyway it's not difficult.
Third Phase: Completely different from before, it will rise into the air, gather energy and release many fireballs. Gathering energy is of course the best time to attack it. Once the fireballs appear, don't be confused by their number, this move is all bluster, only two or three fireballs will actually attack you, which shows how weak the Magician is now, so of course it can't beat you, exploding again.
The above is excerpted from the House of the Dead Bar: Dark Destroyer Zakki
House of the Dead 3: Appears as a bonus item. It will emerge from a box. Hitting it earns you 2000 points.
House of the Dead 4: High score gold award. (No practical significance)

ACG Culture
Magicians in ACG Otaku Culture According to ancient legends: if one remains a virgin until the age of 30 (recently lowered to 25), they can become a magician. The longer one remains a virgin, the more magic they can use, and the greater its power.
The concept of 30 years comes from the classic line in the manga "Moe Magical Girl": "Have you heard such a legend? If you remain a virgin until the age of 30, you can use magic..." This sentence was later revered as a classic by countless otakus for self-deprecation and thus became widely known.

House of the Dead 1: Appears as the final boss
Boss Description:
Model: 0
Name: Magician (The Magician)
Description: An armored devil, human-sized
Weakness: Unknown (its cracked left eye and unarmored parts of its body)
Strategy:
At the start, the Magician will elegantly descend slowly, don't attack it (it won't work), wait until it starts attacking before you can drain its health. Its attacks are divided into three phases.
First Phase:
It teleports around instantly, first firing two fireballs with one hand, then doing the same the second time, and third firing two fireballs with both hands, then cycling back to the first. Don't attack it while it's teleporting, wait until it fires the fireballs to attack its weak points (legs are more effective). Attack the fireballs just before they reach you. Note, the two fireballs overlap when they come. When it fires four fireballs with both hands, focus mainly on attacking the fireballs, which is safer. After a few rounds, it stops and poses to prepare for the second phase attack.
Second Phase:
Not tired yet, it circles around the entire field and then charges towards you to give you a fireball. Pay attention, it only has two charging positions, determine which one it is, and then sweep-shoot its weak points when it charges directly at you (actually one shot is enough to stop its attack, sweeping is for safety). Play a few rounds with it, and it will pose again, repeating the first and second phase attacks. After being pushed back, it retreats to the center of the field to prepare for the third phase attack.
Third Phase:
It begins to concentrate its energy, and immediately N fireballs appear rotating around its body. This is your best chance to attack (the last move of the "House of the Dead 3" Wheel of Fortune is the same), make it lose health rapidly. When it raises its hands, go after a few fireballs, the remaining ones will fly into the sky and spiral down towards you. At this point, aim and shoot the fireballs until they stop falling. After two or three rounds, the Magician is finally over, its body gradually explodes and ascends into the air.

They seem inherently weak, yet they can harness mysterious powers for their own use. They always stay at a safe distance, gathering magical energy, which for their enemies will be a terrible nightmare. Humans, in the pursuit of fantasy, some people focus on pursuing spiritual insights into natural forces, thus giving rise to the mage class among humans. And because of the different focuses of spiritual pursuits, the mage class splits into two professions - Bright Mages and Elemental Mages. Bright Mages

Magicians (Magicians), are characters often mentioned in European and American folk legends, speculative literature, tabletop and video games, referring to people who can wield a certain mysterious force.
Magicians have many names, we can call them wizards, witches, male witches, fortune-tellers, prophets, etc.
In many settings (here the setting refers to the background settings used in legends, speculative literature, games), the definition of "magician" is different. Usually, there is little comparability between magicians from different settings, and there are also many nouns in different languages with similar meanings, so it is easy to confuse when translating or retelling.
Usually gender-neutral, but in certain fields, especially in ACG culture, it specifically refers to males, female magicians are called magic girls or witches.
Supplement
In modern speculative literature and games, "magician" is usually limited to people using specific abilities, equivalent to Sorcerer; sometimes it also generally refers to anyone who can use mysterious forces, equivalent to English Mage, Japanese Magician, or Wizard.
A common career in many online games, primarily focusing on long-range attacks.
In Chinese contexts, sometimes to maintain neutrality in wording, the "magic" character is removed and "mage" is used instead, at this point the meaning of "mage" is not the same as the respectful title for monks. 2 Historical Stories They could soar high in the sky, suddenly disappear, or conjure flowers out of thin air...
They claimed to control wondrous powers and could use many techniques...
They could fly in the air, appear and vanish simultaneously in two different places...
They could conjure what they wanted, transform themselves, turn into animals...
They could predict the future, heal diseases, and traverse time and space...
People never tire of hearing stories about magicians with wondrous powers. Although we cannot collect all the magic in the world, we still listed a few basic categories here. Source: Legendary Magicians
The most legendary magicians are those appearing in mythological stories, nothing can stump them.
Some legendary magicians were well-versed in curses and poisons, but this was not necessary, often all they needed to do was wave a magic wand or chant a spell.
Stories of legendary magicians can be traced back thousands of years, in ancient Egypt, magical ceremonies were part of daily cultural life.
During the era of King Khufu (circa 2600 BC), the story of the legendary magician Jajamenon was very popular. Once, a woman accidentally dropped her head decoration into the lake at the palace, Jajamenon simply chanted a few spells and split the lake water in half to retrieve the lost gemstone, making the woman very happy.
In ancient Greek literary works, legendary magicians were usually women. The witch Circe and her niece could turn people into beasts, rejuvenate them, and also foretell the future. The Roman poet Virgil told the story of the magician Morpheus. Morpheus could move crops from one field to another; transform himself into a werewolf, and even bring people back from the dead.
In a myth, the magician Atlante put a curse on a knight named Astolf (the rider of the hippogriff), causing the knight to appear as different things to different people, sometimes as a beast, sometimes as a giant or a bird. Later, another sorceress Melissa transformed herself into Atlante to save another magician who had been cursed. Today's readers also have their favorite legendary magicians, who are no less impressive than the ancient ones.
In the Middle Ages, the most famous magicians were as renowned as the brave kings, beautiful maidens, and nobles in mythological stories. Among them, Merlin, Arthur's advisor, was the most famous. His magical abilities could turn day into night, summon armies instantly, foresee the future, and transform into many people or animals. The Italian legendary story "Orlando Legend" written in 1516 tells the stories of these magicians, who fought each other, hoping to overcome each other.
Ancient Tribal Magicians: Shamans
Shamans - the oldest tribal magicians in history, they were also called medicine experts or shaman priests. Many shamans were doctors, priests, or supernatural experts. They began practicing this profession over 30,000 years ago and still exist in many cultures today. In many tribal societies, shamans rank just below the tribe chief. Their responsibilities include: healing diseases, predicting the future, communicating with the spirit world, ensuring sufficient food supply during hunting, fishing, and planting processes.
They were also responsible for finding lost people, determining the whereabouts of thieves, protecting villages from enemy destruction. Shamans created amulets, held magical ceremonies, and cursed, learning about herbs, animals, and minerals. They were also responsible for preserving the myths and traditions of the tribe generation after generation. In some cultures, the position of shaman was hereditary, while in others, it was appointed by the current practitioner. Sometimes shamans looked no different from ordinary people, but special experiences like dreams made them suddenly enlightened.
At this point, he would return to nature and live alone like a beast. This process usually lasted several months or weeks, during which he gradually learned to master his supernatural powers. Normally, he would fast during this period. According to ancient legends and traditions, such shamans would receive enlightenment through dreams, where their guardian spirits or animals would guide them, telling them about abilities they didn't know they had, their destiny, and the role they would play in society. Then, he would return to the crowd and begin a new life. People believed that the shaman's abilities came from ancestors or animal spirits. In moments of trance, these spirits would enter his body.
The religious ceremonies of shamans were also part of tribal life. During such ceremonies, everyone sang and danced, while the shaman would leave their body to communicate with guiding spirits and bring back useful information. Depending on the culture, shamans sometimes wore clothes made of animal fur, wore different masks, or painted different patterns on their bodies and faces, or wore large cloaks symbolizing their spiritual "flight" to another world. In many cultures, shaman ceremonies
