Liu Ying is just an ordinary girl.
Born in the early 80s, she neither has a prestigious background nor a dazzling stack of diplomas and certificates. However, while many of her peers are still job hunting without stability, she stands out as a boss.
Liu Ying's entrepreneurial history began out of necessity.
"After graduating from university, I looked for quite a few jobs, but none of them were ideal. Later, my family finally found me a community job that paid only 270 yuan per month. I quit after working there for a few months," Liu said.
Now, the whole family thinks Liu Ying’s decision was very correct, but at the time, Liu faced tremendous pressure. After all, quitting meant unemployment and the need to job hunt again.
"With no suitable work found, I enjoy going online, so I thought about trying my luck on the internet. Later, I registered an online store and started selling cosmetics. Initially, I spent around four or five hundred yuan, all for inventory purchases; I didn't dare to buy too much for fear of failure."
Liu Ying opened her store last July or August, and now over a year later, her shop has gained quite a following. "I've already opened a second one. Now, I also sell some Dandong specialties, with a monthly income of two or three thousand yuan." Liu Ying says she now only wants to run her store well and no longer plans to look for other jobs.
