Two months after the release of the 5.5th Anniversary Edition, the classic media player Winamp has today been updated to version 5.51. Although the version number has only increased by 0.01, there are quite a few improvements.
Winamp 5.51 adds new auto-play processors for audio, MP3, and VCD (supporting both XP and Vista), enhances default program registration under Vista, includes a Flash Video decoder (limited to VP6, not H.263), and offers an optional equalizer with proportional Q values and ISO standard bands.
Additionally, Winamp 5.51 features 25 enhancements, 55 bug fixes, 4 upgrades, and 9 miscellaneous improvements, thus it is highly recommended for users who still love Winamp to update.
