According to the statistical data from the marriage registration offices of the five urban districts of Lixia, Shizhong, Huaiyin, Tianqiao, and Lic城 in Jinan City, the number of divorces in each district basically shows a yearly increasing trend. The total number of divorces in the five districts has increased from 4503 pairs in 2005 to 8192 pairs in 2010, almost doubling in six years.
Regarding the reasons for the continuous increase in the number of divorces, Fu Qiang, a representative of the Jinan Municipal People's Congress and the director of Shandong Pengfei Law Firm, believes that overall, it is due to social changes leading to significant changes in people's values and views on marriage and love.
