Since Windows XP, Microsoft has provided tools to block SP patch packages, making it convenient for enterprises or individuals to prevent SP from being installed through Windows Automatic Updates. With the approaching release of Windows Vista SP1, Microsoft has also added Windows Vista support in the Service Pack Blocker Tool Kit.
