Program Name: Malicious MFC42.dll

Infection Symptoms: MFC42.dll is a Microsoft MFC library file. It gets infected by a virus, which then creates a folder named "MFC42.dll" and places it in the execution folder of antivirus software. This causes the antivirus software to fail during initialization (error code 0xc00000ba). Additionally, the virus places a long-named folder inside the "MFC42.dll" folder to prevent users from deleting the "MFC42.dll" folder.

Based on the infection observed on the administrator's machine, the malicious MFC42.dll can currently cause software such as Qihoo 360 Security Guard and AVG Anti-Spyware to fail to run or initialize properly. After reinstalling 360 Security Guard and scanning the system, a malicious MFC42.dll folder was found in the installation directory of 360 Security Guard ("360safe"), but it could not be removed.
