(I) Metal Corrosiveness
During the acid washing process, unavoidable corrosive damage occurs to heat exchange equipment such as boilers and central air conditioning systems. Particularly, hydrogen ingress damage can disrupt the metal's crystalline structure, leading to severe cases of hydrogen embrittlement and hydrogen-induced cracking, posing a potential threat to the safe operation of heat exchange equipment.
The eco-friendly cleaning agent uses biodegradable bio-acid. After testing by national authoritative institutions, the metal corrosion rate is only 1/20th of the national standard, and even lower than the corrosion rate of metal in water. It is one percent of the metal corrosion rate during acid washing. Moreover, the undiluted cleaning agent does not cause any skin damage.
(II) Cleaning Effect
During the acid washing process, due to the fear of acid corroding the equipment and causing damage, the cleaning personnel often do not dare to clean for an extended period, resulting in incomplete cleaning. Although some cleaning effects are achieved, scaling problems quickly reoccur.
In addition to being non-corrosive itself, the Fosstech eco-friendly cleaning agent also has a very high scale-dissolving efficiency. Each kilogram of the original solution can remove 4 kilograms of scale. Most cleaning work can be completed within 2-3 hours, improving the cleaning efficiency significantly.
(III) Toxicity and Environmental Impact
Acid washing waste liquid is highly toxic due to the corrosiveness of the acid and the toxicity caused by the decomposition of corrosion inhibitors, posing a significant hazard to living organisms and severely polluting the environment. Acid washing is a highly polluting cleaning method that is both toxic and harmful.
Fosstech’s main components use advanced biological agents, making it biodegradable, non-toxic, non-corrosive, and non-flammable. If the scale does not contain harmful substances, the cleaning waste liquid can be directly discharged.
(IV) Cleaning Method
Acid washing has a corrosive effect on metals. Operators must undergo strict training; improper operation can easily cause serious damage to the equipment, or even lead to scrapping.
The use of Fosstech is very simple. After a brief training of 2-3 people, they can thoroughly clean the equipment from bottom to top using just an open-loop circulation pump and a bucket system.
