Compared to previous China Tours where players could only win prize money without gaining world ranking points, the new round of the Chinese Professional Golf Tour, led by the Chinese Golf Association, introduces the 'Grand China Tour' concept, including five tiers of events: professional championships, professional challenge tournaments, professional elite tournaments, professional open tournaments, and world-class professional golf events. Besides tournament prizes, the more significant goal of the 'Grand China Tour' is to allow Chinese players to earn world ranking points, which is crucial for realizing China's Olympic strategy in golf. All sectors of society have given high attention and expectations to the integrated Grand China Tour, especially the Chinese Professional Golf Championship.
