Yuan Hao, who attended a self-study junior college for animation design and advertising planning, was unwilling to become a "parasitic youth" at home after graduation. To survive, Yuan Hao spent this period in constant busyness and anxiety, both physically and mentally exhausted, unable to see the future, and even contemplating going with the flow but still unwilling to settle for mediocrity. Amidst one part-time job after another, Yuan Hao repeatedly asked himself: Where is my future? More than a year of part-time work made him reflect, realizing that life couldn't continue like this and that he needed to find a way out.
### The Transformation Path at Beida Qingniao (Peking University Young Bird)
During an accidental dinner with friends, Yuan Hao discovered that a close friend had become a network engineer at a well-known IT company. It turned out that after graduation, his friend also faced countless employment failures, eventually succeeding in securing a job after systematically studying network technology at the Guangzhou Beida Qingniao campus. Understanding this, Yuan Hao saw his path forward and embarked on his transformation journey at Beida Qingniao with renewed confidence. During his studies at Beida Qingniao, Yuan Hao experienced a completely new learning model; simulation teaching based on workplace scenarios made him more proactive. Every day, his learning wasn't about passively absorbing knowledge but rather unconsciously gaining technical skills and work experience through active competition with his "colleagues." Over six months of study and accumulation, Yuan Hao felt like he had undergone a rebirth, transforming from a confused seeker into a confident network expert.
### The Joy of Dream Takeoff
"Network engineer, starting salary 4000 yuan, 7000 yuan after probation, plus more opportunities for learning and promotion..." In September 2008, when Yuan Hao received the offer letter from Shanghai Runhe Technology, a sense of joy and fulfillment welled up within him. With solid professional skills acquired during his studies, Yuan Hao smoothly passed the one-week assessment after joining the company and officially entered the largest project team, quickly becoming the project leader. His superior's satisfaction with his performance was evident: "Initially, I was quite worried about his capabilities and doubted whether he could meet our requirements, but his performance exceeded my expectations, especially in terms of work ideas and technical processes, where he showed stronger theoretical foundations than some veteran employees." The fulfilling work and positive mindset made Yuan Hao even more determined and confident. Reflecting on his decision to make changes, he said emotionally: "Success always goes to those who are prepared. Having dreams requires action. I am very grateful that I chose Beida Qingniao; all the efforts I put into learning there were not wasted."
### Creating One’s Own Sky
After entering the network industry, with the application of his acquired knowledge and the continuous accumulation of practical work experience, Yuan Hao's vision and thinking expanded. His definition of dreams was no longer limited to having a good job and waiting for promotion opportunities but instead focused on recognizing and showcasing himself in this field, thereby carving out his own sky. In July 2009, a new choice presented itself to Yuan Hao. He gave up the opportunity for a raise and returned from Shanghai to Nanjing, joining a company in its early stages of development—Nanjing Quartet Trading Co., Ltd. At the time, the company didn't even have an independent network department, and building the team and initiating projects posed entirely new challenges. "This is what I wanted," Yuan Hao said, facing the challenges without retreating. Now, Yuan Hao has become the product department manager of the company, responsible for game product analysis and planning, network planning, product testing management, and project management. Yuan Hao believes that his current success is not the end but another turning point in life. Whether he can carve out his own sky depends entirely on his own efforts and persistence.
