After Charlene Choi (aka Ah Sa) revealed her secret marriage to and subsequent divorce from singer Ronald Cheng, rumors surfaced that the catalyst for their split was Ah Sa's acquaintance with Pony Ma, the chairman of Tencent Corporation. In response, Tencent issued a stern statement dismissing the reports as baseless fabrications and announced legal action against the media outlet responsible. Meanwhile, Ah Sa was seen yesterday afternoon at a dance studio in Tin Ha preparing for her upcoming concert. Although she didn’t answer any questions from the press, she appeared lighter on her feet and visibly more at ease.
Previously, it was reported that Pony Ma had been involved in Ah Sa and Ronald’s marriage, which led to their separation. Yesterday, Tencent released a statement refuting these claims as unfounded and severely violating journalistic ethics. Tencent stated they would take this fabrication seriously and pursue necessary legal actions against the media outlet. In addition to Pony Ma's legal response against the weekly magazine, Emperor Entertainment Group (Ah Sa's agency) also plans to take legal action against the media source.
Ah Sa has temporarily returned to her family home for residence. Around 3 PM yesterday, Ah Sa’s nanny van arrived at her parent’s home in Happy Valley. Fifteen minutes later, she left for a dance studio located in the Tsui Shing Building in Tin Ha. She joined her close friend Joey Yung for rehearsals. Dressed in sportswear with a black hat, Ah Sa looked energetic and smiled when she saw reporters, appearing quite relaxed. However, she did not respond to questions regarding her relationship with Pony Ma or its potential developments, quickly entering the industrial building housing the dance studio.
