Second category: Basic standards — Environmental Management Systems, specifications, principles, and application guidelines.

Third category: Supporting technical standards (tools), including:

① Environmental auditing;

② Environmental labeling;

③ Evaluation of environmental performance;

④ Life cycle assessment.

If categorized according to the function of the standards, they can be divided into two categories:

First category: Evaluation of organizations

① Environmental Management System;

② Evaluation of environmental performance;

③ Environmental auditing.

Second category: Evaluation of products

① Life cycle assessment;

② Environmental labeling;

③ Environmental indicators in product standards.
