Our newspaper published an article yesterday titled "New House Suffered Heavy Losses from Sewage Soaking". Although the property management and developers were unable to confirm the source of the wire skins, both parties agreed to further negotiate at the Baoshan Consumer Protection Commission this afternoon.

The couple used all their parents' life savings to purchase a matrimonial home in Jinqiu Garden, Baoshan District. Unexpectedly, before they even moved in, the house was soaked in fecal water. Afterwards, maintenance personnel dug out a large amount of wire skin from the sewer pipe in Miss Jin's house. The owner suspected that this was due to construction workers stealing copper cores during the building process and stuffing the wire skins into the sewer pipes.

Regarding this incident, a staff member of Jinqiu Real Estate Development Company said that the company is aware of the matter. Whether the accident was caused by construction workers stealing wires cannot be determined at present, but they are willing to compensate Miss Jin for a loss of 10,000 yuan. "However, the owner demands 20,000 yuan in compensation, and the two parties cannot reach an agreement," the person said. Jinqiu Property Management is a subordinate department of Jinqiu Real Estate Company, and currently, the developer has fully authorized the property management to coordinate this matter.

Mr. Zheng, the property manager of Jinqiu Community, also does not agree with the owner's statement, saying that both sides will go to the Baoshan Consumer Protection Commission for negotiation.

The incident of Miss Jin's new house being soaked in sewage also sparked extensive discussions on the Jinqiu Home Forum. According to some owners' recollections, when they first received their new houses, they found that all the concealed copper cores in the house had been removed. At that time, some owners even reported it to the police. And finding other construction waste stuffed into the pipes was quite common. "The brick wall around the water pipe in my bathroom was also filled with garbage, resulting in dampness in my room, and the whole wall paint was scrapped..." Owner wenggnew said.

For this reason, the owners suggest that after receiving the keys to the new house, one should not rush to renovate but should first have the workers check each pipe to ensure there are no safety hazards, eliminating any future worries after moving in.
