On November 26th, director Zhang Yang's new film *Unmanned* was shooting its final scenes on a road outside Beijing's Fifth Ring Road. To meet the needs of the plot, the production team rented two snow-making machines to create artificial snow, and the actors completed their last scenes amidst the man-made snowscape.

Reported exclusively by NetEase Entertainment (by Xiao Wu, photos by Song Shuang), on November 26th, director Zhang Yang's new film *Unmanned* was filming its ending scenes on a road outside Beijing's Fifth Ring Road. For the sake of the storyline, the crew rented two snow-making machines to produce artificial snow, allowing the actors to finish their final scenes in the snowy setting.

Gao Yuanyuan and You Yong were seen walking hand-in-hand through the snow. Gao Yuanyuan, dressed in her wedding gown, endured the cold during the snow day shoot.

Outside the northern Fifth Ring Road, on a certain road, dozens of vehicles were parked motionlessly on the road surface, with thick layers of snow accumulating on the roads and cars alike. Taxi drivers stepped out of their cabs, sighing at the long line of stalled vehicles, while anxious passengers from buses stuck their heads out of the windows. Snowflakes continued to drift down from the sky, drawing attention to a particularly noticeable wedding car stuck in the traffic jam. The bride and groom inside anxiously awaited for the car to move, but as time passed, there was no sign of movement. Eventually, the couple decided to get out of the car and walk to the wedding venue.

Director Zhang Yang was present at the filming location.

This was the shooting site for the ending scene of the movie *Unmanned*. Due to the demands of the plot, the production team sealed off an incomplete dead-end road and created an artificial snowfall. The main cast—Gao Yuanyuan, You Yong, Liu Ye, and Li Xiaoran—were set to complete their final shooting work here. The aforementioned newlyweds were none other than Gao Yuanyuan and You Yong. Because of issues with wind direction and unsuitable snowfall, Gao Yuanyuan had already run several times in her backless wedding gown despite the freezing weather. "I was so cold that I felt like my nose was about to drip snot. There was nothing I could do but add some warmth measures to my legs, so now my legs feel like they're swollen like elephant legs," Gao Yuanyuan joked.

After finishing one take, Gao Yuanyuan quickly put on her coat to keep warm.

Gao Yuanyuan introduced that the final part of the film’s conclusion didn't involve too much unfolding of plots or stories. It also did not provide a particularly clear resolution to the audience but instead presented a kind of state. "It feels quite dreamlike."

The character played by Gao Yuanyuan was initially Liu Ye's girlfriend in the earlier part of the film but ended up marrying You Yong. You Yong declined to give away spoilers, saying only, "This character uses sincerity to win over Gao Yuanyuan." You Yong added that his role in the film didn't have many lines. "I'm basically just like an extra; I don't have many scenes."

Liu Ye claims he's not in a rush to have children.

As Gao Yuanyuan's boyfriend in the film, the character played by Liu Ye ultimately marries Li Xiaoran and has a child. Amidst this heavy snowfall, the car belonging to Liu Ye and Li Xiaoran was also caught in the traffic jam. The family of three got out of the car, happily playing with the snow in the middle of the road. Liu Ye felt that for his character, this was a rather warm ending.

Liu Ye, who just got married this year, was asked if he wanted to have children soon in real life. He said, "I actually do want to experience it, after all, I'm over thirty now. If we have a child, then so be it, but I'm not in a hurry." Liu Ye mentioned that seeing many of his classmates' boys making their homes lively, he thought having a girl would be nice too.
