I. How to Prevent Embroidery Floss from Twisting and Knotting

1. Before use, pull each strand of embroidery floss out individually, then combine two strands together for use. This reduces the inherent twisting of the thread, thereby reducing knots.

2. Another method is to pass each strand of embroidery floss through a wet sponge before using it. This can also make the thread smooth and flat. Note that some types of embroidery floss, such as silk or poor-quality threads, should not be dampened.

3. As your experience increases, you will gradually be able to see which direction the embroidery floss tends to twist. Use your fingers to rotate the thread in the opposite direction to counteract the twisting.

4. During the embroidery process, occasionally suspend the needle and thread in the air, allowing it to rotate freely so that the twists in the thread can naturally untangle themselves.
