Problem
On May 12, 2008, the Wenchuan earthquake struck the hearts of all Chinese people. Both individuals and enterprises were fully engaged in the disaster relief efforts with great enthusiasm. At that time, it was also the trial operation phase of the Sinopharm coding system of China National Pharmaceutical Group Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "Sinopharm Group"). Lei Wanyun, the head of the Information Expert Group of Sinopharm Group and the deputy director of the Information Department, was leading his colleagues in the information department in debugging and testing. Although they were far away in Beijing, they still felt a slight tremor. Subsequently, a vice president of the group approached the information department, hoping to use the Sinopharm coding system, which was still in the trial operation stage, to help query the pharmaceutical reserve status of more than 200 pharmaceutical companies under the group. This included information on more than 20,000 important drugs among hundreds of thousands of drug types, and to consolidate all data to the headquarters in Beijing. Once the data was ready, all positions including personnel, materials, logistics, transportation, etc., would be prepared, waiting for instructions from higher-ups to deliver emergency pharmaceutical supplies to Chengdu Shuangliu Airport in a timely manner.
