Windows Live Writer Beta 2 Update Released

Today, Windows Live Writer finally got an update, with the last one being all the way back in November of last year. The unification of the new Windows Live UI across the three major components—Messenger, Mail, and Writer—is impressive. The Live Writer also features a translucent launch screen. In terms of functionality, check out the list below:

- Add categories and tags

- Built-in spell checking

- Support for creating tables

- Support for summaries and extended content

- Sharepoint 2007 support

- Plugins automatically run after installation

- Software and services feature a unified UI

- Support for six languages, including Simplified Chinese

- Easy access to Windows Live Gallery for plugins
