Having trouble installing Windows Live software? Try this.

If you're having problems installing Writer, Messenger 8.5, or Mail, then you might want to try the following:

1. Close all Windows Live programs.

2. Open the C:/Program Files/Windows Live folder and delete the "install" folder.

3. Open C:/ProgramData, and delete the "Windows Live Installer" and "WLInstaller" folders if they exist. Note: On XP, this folder is located at C:/Documents and Settings/All Users/Application Data.

4. Restart your computer (if necessary).

5. Reinstall the program you need.
