On May 28th, Nokia announced the launch of mobile blog and other Internet Web2.0 services on mobile terminals, which is another attempt by Nokia to create a mobile Internet platform on phones.
Nokia's business was actually launched globally last October, with the Chinese name "Weixin". Nokia stated that by May 25th this year, "Weixin" had reached one million registered users worldwide.
It is reported that Nokia highly values this mobile technology, claiming that "this represents the first step for Nokia in exploring the mobile Internet field", allowing users to experience Internet Web2.0 services on their mobile terminals.
Dieter May, Vice President of Nokia's Innovation Business Department, personally came to China to announce this matter. He said that "Weixin" is a mobile Internet service platform developed by Nokia, and users can download the "Weixin" software to their phones for free. "Weixin" sends real-time Internet information to mobile phones through "smart applications", enabling users to read news, browse blogs, receive emails, view photos, and play games.
Currently, blogs have become a very rapidly developing entertainment application on the Internet. Ding Gang, Director of the Nokia Weixin Project in China, pointed out an interesting aspect of "Weixin": "For mobile phone users who wish to frequently check information and read blogs, and maintain close communication with their favorite online communities, 'Weixin' is the simplest and most interesting tool to help them achieve these desires."
In addition, Nokia also stated that it will integrate the "Xingxue Zuyou" (a learning service) into mobile phones, allowing users to engage in interactive online mobile learning through their phones.
