Windows 7 is back with a bang, and Microsoft is set to reclaim its former glory.

Recessions are indeed terrible, and they will get worse before they get better. But they do end eventually. And when that day comes, we will find that the consumer electronics and IT industries have undergone tremendous changes compared to when they entered the recession at the end of 2007. There will be winners and losers - many companies that have been with us for years or even decades will be swallowed up and disappear, while some others will drastically shrink and fade away silently.
