【Basic Introduction】
The Malicious Website Laboratory (Malicious Web site Labs) aims to suppress the spread and outbreak of malicious websites through monitoring and analysis, reduce their level of harm, and issue early warning announcements in a rapid reporting format. A HOSTS blocking file is generated every week, and the monitoring data is promptly used to counteract malicious websites.
The hosts file is used for local DNS resolution and takes precedence over searching for DNS servers on the network. In Windows, it is usually located in [Windows Directory]\system32\drivers\etc.
The malicious website HOSTS blocking file can currently block more than 7,000 malicious websites, most of which are trojan-targeted sites. Using this can significantly reduce the likelihood of falling victim to web-based malware attacks.
【Usage Method】
After downloading and extracting, overwrite the Hosts file to the following path according to your system:
For Windows XP/2003/Vista/2008 users:
“C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\Etc”
For Windows NT/2000 users:
“C:\Winnt\System32\Drivers\Etc”
For Windows 95/98/Me users:
“C:\Windows”
