Yesterday, the computer at the operations department got infected with a virus. The specific symptoms were as follows: an additional process named "wscript.exe" appeared in the Task Manager; when opening C:, D:, E:, F: drives, a prompt box would appear saying "Cannot find file Autorun.vbs," and the drives could not be opened. Additionally, the virus would spread to USB drives, causing the same issues. Using Kaspersky antivirus software, the virus file Autorun.bat was detected and deleted, but the symptoms persisted. After searching online, I found that some people suggested manually modifying the registry to remove the Trojan, but this method seemed rather complicated. Therefore, I downloaded the **[Autorun.vbs Virus Removal Tool]** from Stoyard. After extracting it, double-clicking the tool would launch a DOS window, temporarily shutting down Explorer.exe before restoring it after a while. This process completed the virus removal.
