[Software Usage Tips]
1. Minimize Winamp without occupying taskbar space
We all know that clicking the minimize button in the upper right corner of the Winamp main window will minimize Winamp to form a button on the taskbar. If your computer has many windows open at this time and you don't want Winamp to occupy the taskbar space, you can hold down the "Shift" key on the keyboard while clicking the minimize button in the upper right corner of the Winamp main window. This way, Winamp will be minimized to the system tray on the right side of the taskbar, forming an icon without occupying the middle space of the taskbar.
2. Cancel Winamp's "Always on Top" option
By default, the Winamp window is always in front of other windows. If other windows overlap with the Winamp window, clicking on other windows will still keep the Winamp window in front of other windows. Some users may find this function inconvenient and want to cancel it. It's very simple; just click on "Options" in the Winamp main menu and remove the checkmark from "Always on Top."
3. Winamp usage tip: Batch format conversion
Sometimes you need WAV files for editing materials. With MP3 files, you can easily achieve this using Winamp. In the main menu, select Options → Preferences → Plug-ins → Output, then choose Nullsoft Disk Writer Plug-in v2.0c (x86) [out_disk.dll] in the right-hand window. Select the Configure (configuration) button to set up necessary "output path" and "output file mode," save the settings, and return to the Winamp main window. Choose an MP3 song and play it normally to convert the format. There will be no sound during the conversion process, which is very fast and does not require the time to play the song.
Do not select repeat playback during playback, otherwise, the song conversion work will continue endlessly. After the conversion is complete, make sure to restore the first item, Winamp2 waveOut plug-in, in Options → Preferences → Plug-ins → Output, otherwise, every time you open Winamp in the future, it will be converting WAV files, you won't hear any sound, and it will waste a lot of hard disk space.
