360 Security Guard is a completely free online security auxiliary tool software launched by Qihoo Company. It has several powerful functions such as detecting and eliminating popular trojans, cleaning up bad reviews and system plug-ins, managing application software, Kaspersky antivirus, real-time system protection, and repairing system vulnerabilities. [Usage Method]
Basic Scan: Open the main interface of the program, select the "Scan" option in the left list, then choose a certain disk partition or select all on the right "Scan" option. If you want to scan a specific folder, click the "Add" button and select a more detailed folder path in the opened window, adding it to the scan list. Then click the "Start Scan" button, and Kaspersky will start working for you.
Special Scan: Besides using the basic scan options, you can also click items like "Key Partition" or "My Computer" under the left scan section to conduct more targeted scans of system memory, startup objects, email databases, and system directories separately. You can also click the "Add" button to add other scan items, and finally click the "Start Scan" button to scan them together.
Scan Optimization: If you feel that the system resources are being heavily utilized during scanning, you can optimize Kaspersky's settings to make it lighter. First, select the "Settings" button at the bottom of the antivirus tool, then click the "Scan" option in the dialog box that appears, and subsequently click the "Customize" button on the right. On the "General" page, select the "Scan only newly created and modified files" option, change "Stop scan if scan time exceeds" to 10 seconds, and set "Do not scan archive files if they are larger than" to 10M.
Antivirus Notification Sound Modification: After discovering a virus with Kaspersky antivirus, there will be a notification sound which might be quite unbearable and sharp. You can replace this sound. First, enter the path where Kaspersky stores its notification sounds, which defaults to "c:\Program Files\Kaspersky Lab\Kaspersky Anti-Virus 7.0\Skin\sounds". The file named "infected.wav" is the notification sound file. You can copy a pleasant ringtone to this directory and rename it to "infected.wav". Note that the sound file must have WAV as its suffix. If you do not need any notification sound, simply rename the infected.wav file to something else, just ensuring it doesn't match the original name.
