Dr.Web is backed by the Russian Academy of Sciences, and it is used by the military and national security departments. The software is not commercially driven but rather a truly technical one. It can eliminate the strongest packed viruses in the world, and its antivirus engine ranks first globally. It consumes very few resources. The software is extremely rigorous about updating its virus database; for binary viruses that cannot harm the current system, they are not included. This also shows its concept of being technology and practicality-driven rather than commercial. Due to this reason, Dr.Web does not rank very high in various antivirus software evaluations, sometimes it doesn't even participate in these evaluations. However, in terms of actual detection and elimination capabilities, it is world-class.
After you decompress, run "Full Installation.bat", and then restart to start using it. If you want automatic updates, open Scheduler, go to the options tab, and select Load at startup. You can also edit the update time and frequency in the task settings. This scheduled task takes up 2MB of memory, which is negligible.
