SSM, the full name is "System Safety Monitor", abbreviated as SSM. It is a system monitoring software produced in Russia. By monitoring specific system files (such as the registry, etc.) and applications, it achieves the purpose of protecting system security. It is a firewall tool that conducts comprehensive monitoring of the system. It is different from traditional firewalls, as it targets access management within the operating system, thus not conflicting with any network/virus firewalls. The software has received the five-star editor recommendation award from WebAttack, and it is very excellent! It's a great HIPS.

【Platform Compatibility】:

Compatible with 9X/NT/2K at 95%; XP at 100% (Vista temporarily incompatible with free version, other versions run unstably)

【Function Features】:

- Can control which programs on the machine are allowed to run, and will alarm when the program to be run is modified;

- Can control "DLL injection" and keylogger calls to specific system functions;

- Can control driver installation (including non-traditional driver-type vulnerabilities - Rootkits);

- Can control such low-level activities as accessing "\Device\PhysicalMemory" objects;

- Can prevent unapproved code injection, so no program can insert into legitimate programs for harmful activities;

- Can control which programs are allowed to start other programs, and which programs are not allowed to be started by other programs, such as: You can control your browser not to be started by any non-trusted program except Explorer.EXE;

- Can choose between dual modes, user mode or administrator mode: Administrator mode can set preferences and password protect them against changes, while user mode cannot change any settings;

- Can monitor changes in important branches of the registry when installing new programs, and will block or alarm when protected registry branches are attempted to be changed;

- Can manage startup items, current processes, etc., and also provides a service protection module to monitor installed system services, and will alarm when new services are added;

- Can (real-time) monitor "startup menu", "startup INI file branch", and IE settings (including BHO - so-called browser helper objects, generally adware, spyware, and other junk);

- Can block opening specified windows or web pages through title blacklist filters;

- Supports any debugger, antivirus software, etc., and all extension functions are implemented in the form of external plug-ins, thus easily obtaining rich extensions;

- Loaded as a service itself, through configuration and modification, it can achieve hidden process anti-killing capabilities.

The powerful functions of SSM provide an excellent solution for Trojan prevention and even comprehensive monitoring of the entire system, but its use should be considered overall as a high-end security software. Mr. Fox tested multiple Trojans, keyloggers, etc., for practical training on his machine, all of which were successfully intercepted, and its underlying defense capability is quite satisfactory. Moreover, it is very helpful for beginners to familiarize themselves with the operating system.

Automatically find and delete SSM trial registry information, after deletion, running SSM will recalculate the start date of the one-month trial period.

Need to close SSM before use
