Problem Handling of Failures in Hydraulic Pump Repair

1. Fault Symptoms and Cause Analysis

During maintenance, the fault causes can be identified from the following three aspects, and improvements can be made to the system:

(1) Check for internal leakage of the boom cylinder. The simplest method is to lift the boom and observe whether there is any obvious free fall. If it drops significantly, then dismantle the cylinder for inspection. Replace the seal if it is worn.

(2) Check the control valve. First, clean the safety valve and check whether the valve core is worn. If it is worn, replace it. After reinstalling the safety valve, if there is still no change, then check the wear condition of the control valve core. The allowable clearance limit is generally 0.06mm, and if it is severely worn, replacement is required.

(3) Measure the pressure of the hydraulic pump. If the pressure is low, make adjustments. If the pressure cannot be increased even after adjustment, this indicates that the hydraulic pump is severely worn.
