Zhou Xun recently had two movies premiere almost simultaneously: "Li Mi's Conjecture" and "The Painted Skin." Regarding the two different characters in these films, Zhou Xun said, "They both suffer for love."

Wearing a green floral shirt specially designed for her by her boyfriend, Zhou Xun appeared recently in Shanghai with a radiant smile but couldn't hide her exhaustion. For her film that she considered a "resetting work," "Li Mi's Conjecture," Zhou Xun not only forbade her boyfriend Da Qi from visiting the set during filming, but also found herself unable to detach from her character after the movie was completed. Facing the media, Zhou Xun expressed her gratitude for everyone's concern and frankly admitted that being too immersed in her role was physically draining and mentally hard to bear. She said, "The character I portrayed in this film has very complex emotions, often instantly displaying various states, sometimes being irascible and stubborn, and other times delicate and sentimental. As an actor, one always hopes to portray different characters. The director's demands were extremely strict, so after finishing the performance, I had a bit of difficulty detaching myself from the character."
