In March 1999, an archaeological team from the central government excavated Liu Bei's tomb and discovered a large number of artifacts from the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty. The most astonishing discovery was the handwritten manuscript of Liu Bei, revealing a secret unknown for two thousand years: Zhao Yun, the famous general of the Three Kingdoms era, was actually a woman in disguise—Hua Mulan—and had a relationship with Liu Bei that went beyond just being sovereign and subject. In the manuscript, Liu Bei mentioned multiple times discussing Zhao Yun's status issue with Zhuge Liang. Unfortunately, due to internal policy reasons, only part of the manuscript's content was made public, and little mention was made of the key content.
