Three years later, the anti-terrorism hero gets addicted to drugs. The new season of "24" is set three years after the last season, so there can be greater changes in character relationships. Tony from the Counter Terrorist Unit marries Michelle, Jack's daughter Kim joins the anti-terrorism team as a computer analyst and has a relationship with one of her father's subordinates, Chase. The most unexpected twist, however, involves the main character Jack, who becomes addicted to drugs while working undercover to investigate drug dealers. This creates numerous difficulties for him during his investigation and shows the audience the dark side of the hero. As for the White House, the President, after recovering, has a new girlfriend who happens to be his personal doctor. The President's brother Wayne has become his capable assistant. Facing pressure to win re-election and needing to resolve a bio-hazard crisis, will they be an aid or obstacle to the President?
