Wu Dazi, a 33-year-old virgin (played by Choi Jin-hyun), lives with her grandmother and mother. She works as a PD in a shopping channel, where she has been working since she was in her 20s, transitioning from naivety and fantasy to fully recognizing reality. In her job, senior colleague Shin Se-do helps Dazi, leading her to develop feelings for him. Eventually, Dazi seizes the opportunity to confess her feelings to Shin Se-do, and he agrees to go on a date with her. However, their relationship doesn't last long before Dazi's friends warn her that Shin Se-do is a playboy. While dating Dazi, he secretly fraternizes with the channel's shopping host Wei Shan Zhu (played by Lee Hye-young). Upon witnessing her boyfriend's betrayal firsthand, Dazi feels her dignity insulted and resolves to seek revenge on Shin Se-do. Feeling down, Dazi encounters a young thug-like man named Jiang Taifeng (played by Lee Min-ki). After understanding the situation, Taifeng suggests to Dazi that they could "pretend to date" as a way to get back at Shin Se-do. On Christmas Eve, when Shin Se-do was supposed to meet Dazi, he was caught by her with Shan Zhu instead. Driven by wounded pride, Dazi calls Taifeng to come save her at a hotel, even boldly booking a room. Extremely upset, Dazi drinks heavily and unknowingly signs an agreement with Taifeng. The next day, when Taifeng shows up at Dazi's workplace as agreed, he publicly declares himself to be Dazi's young boyfriend in front of everyone.
