After marriage, Cosmo Ho (Xuan Xuan) and Kok Kwong (Chen Jinhong) lived in peace with her working outside the home and him taking care of domestic affairs. She was fully devoted to being a magistrate, while he enjoyed being a house husband. However, after Kwong's father discovered the prenuptial agreement signed by Kwong and Ho, their marital relationship became infinitely more complicated.
To make matters worse, Kwong later went back on his word and decided to build a career outside the home. Ho was initially unconcerned, but when she discovered that her newly liberated husband was having an affair, she, who had never been the clingy type, had no choice but to become more gentle in hopes of salvaging their marriage. Unexpectedly, events took a sudden turn, and it turned out that things were not as she had expected. As events unfolded, Kwong instead found out that Ho was having close interactions with her ex-boyfriend, fellow magistrate Chi Hung (Wang Jie).
