From March to December 2008, a Taekwondo experience program was offered for foreign tourists and foreigners residing in Korea. In addition to hands-on Taekwondo experiences, there were martial arts performances that allowed foreigners to further understand the appeal of Taekwondo and grasp its true essence. The Seoul government and Kukkiwon established the Taekwondo venue at Gyeonghuigung Palace, one of the ancient palaces. Practicing Taekwondo in an ancient palace is a rare opportunity.
