Deadline is probably one of the terms that white collars both love and hate. Without it, it means that the progress of an event is unclear and there are too many uncertain factors; with it, it means that procrastination has a limit.

Deadlines can indeed be deadly. "We are tractors, we are tractors, tractors in the office..." While working, everyone has a "tractor song" in their heart. Faced with piles of work, we always take our time, either confidently, helplessly, or irredeemably, and end up finishing the job at the last minute.
