In order to develop Korea's computer game industry and establish a healthy computer game culture, Seoul Metropolitan Government for the first time held an electronic sports competition last year, drawing the attention of PC game fans all over the world. Capitalizing on last year's huge popularity, this year, from July 24th to 27th, for four days, at the Seoul Trade Exhibition Center, Seoul Metropolitan Government and JoongAng Daily will jointly host the 'e-stars Seoul 2008' Intercontinental E-sports Competition. Top e-athletes from the East and West will compete with each other in this digital cultural festival that draws the eyes of the world.
