The mountain is high and the moon is far, making the moon seem smaller, then it is said that this mountain is larger than the moon.
This poem seems to have little connection with this article. However, its origin is quite significant. It is said that the dialectics promoted by later generations originated from here.
To get back to the point, before I entered the first year of high school, I heard others say how wonderful the life in high school was. Therefore, according to dialectics, my high school life should be pretty "wonderful". Unfortunately, it is somewhat different from what I wished for. Of course, it's not like Mr. Wang Shuo who experienced three years of natural disasters during his physical development and encountered the Cultural Revolution while receiving education.
Firstly, let me clarify that I am not a愤青 (angry youth), I just like to express indignation from time to time. Suddenly writing a long discourse, it feels like boasting to someone who doesn't understand Buddhism, but when encountering someone who truly understands Buddhist principles, I would be at a loss. Again, I digressed...
In short: In one year, I have seen all the warmth and coldness of human relationships, and tasted all the bitterness and sweetness of life. Recalling how I exhausted myself to get into BZ, after a year of hard work, I still have a bad record. Skipping classes in the first week of school, and even "inciting" a group of classmates to skip classes to play football in the last week... Truly speechless.
Speaking of studies, the fluctuations are greater than a tsunami. To put it vividly, "understanding principles in the fog", fortunately, I met a few very capable teachers~ For example, in politics, at least I feel that studying politics hasn't brainwashed me.
I'll stop here. We are about to separate into liberal arts and sciences streams. I'm not young anymore, I know I still need to seize the time and strive hard. Although I am a non-pure idealist, I also agree with objective materialism. Forced by circumstances, thinking of Mr. Yangming's "ge zhu" (investigating bamboo) incident, no matter how dry it is, it doesn't matter. Investigate things to understand their principles, unify knowledge and action, let's go!
PS. Afterword: The final exams are over. I thought I could take a two-month vacation, but unexpectedly, I have to attend remedial classes in a few days. I wrote a random essay to commemorate my first year of high school! I will reflect slowly over the next few days. The regret is that the remedial classes will make me miss the Stanisovich Cup and Serena Williams' new movie. I guess my summer vacation travel plans are off too. Still, as they say, forced by circumstances, for myself and others, let's persevere! I believe!
For mutual encouragement: A scholar cannot lack perseverance and courage, for the tasks are heavy and the road is long. Taking benevolence as one's responsibility, is that not a heavy burden? Continuing until death, is that not a long journey?
Farewell, my first year of high school!
