The American NASA announced on the 27th that a research team funded by the organization has made, for the first time, a remote detection on the surface of the moon with a lunar exploration instrument and discovered so-called magmatic water which might have originated from the deep part of the moon. This discovery shows that water might have existed when the moon was initially formed. Magmatic water refers to water contained in or differentiated from magma, and is different from precipitation from the atmosphere.
