A French woman who received the world's first face transplant spoke publicly to the media for the first time. The 38-year-old mother of two, Isabelle Dinoire, had her face mauled by her own dog on November 27, 2005. Isabelle appeared at a press conference in the French city of Amiens, where she underwent the surgery that has restored much of her normal life. She said the operation had given her back her courage and enabled her to walk in the street again.
